new small residence - practically complete

when we first arrived in brunswick we were basically camping in our warehouse shell
we had set out to renovate the back third of the space ourselves as we couldn't really afford a builder at that stage
that work was to become the spurway lane residence
very early on a neighbour from about 5 houses down the lane came and introduced herself
the former brunswick mayor from 1990 to 1991 had heard about us and had decided to pay a visit
within two minutes she had offered us her house to stay in while she was overseas as no one could put up with the conditions we were living in
ladies and gentlemen l give you ... liz jackson

our friendship with liz and her family is still present and strong
a few years back now, for a christmas present we gave liz a design for a separate dwelling to the rear section of her block
a simple ground and first floor plan and some rough sketches of what it could look like
liz had been toying with the idea for a number of years so we thought it would be a nice thing for us to do for her
mind you we never expected liz to take it up as our sense of design and liz's .... well lets just say that is a divide that evil kenevil would have baulked at

but a few years later... probably due to a deal of cajoling by her daughter alison, liz started talking to us about heading this towards a built outcome
so out from liz's back yard ...slowly rising ...is a zincalume and timber box which at some stage will become liz's new home
